Barcelona's official website announced they have reached an agreement to sign striker Robert Lewandowski. The Spanish club has completed negotiations with Bayern Munich and the striker. The contract between the two parties will be signed as soon as Lewandowski passes his medical examination.
Lewandowski was expected to be a quality addition to Bayern's attack following the departures of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. Barca had to pay £45 million to secure the services of one of the best number 9 players in the world today.

The Polish striker moved to Germany in 2010, winning the Bundesliga twice with Borussia Dortmund and finishing as runner-up in the Champions League in the 2012/2013 season.
In 2014, Lewandowski joined Bayern on a free transfer. He scored 344 goals in 374 appearances for "Die Roten," including 238 in the Bundesliga and 69 in the Champions League.
Lewandowski broke Gerd Muller's record for most goals in a single season, is the only player in Bundesliga history to win the top scorer title five times in a row (a total of seven times), and set a record for the fastest five goals in football history with his "rocket" strike against Wolfsburg in just nine minutes.
Lewandowski's peak was in 2020 and 2021, when the Polish striker won the "FIFA The Best" award twice with Bayern.
"Lewandowski stands out for his goal-scoring ability. Inside the penalty box, Lewandowski possesses all the weapons to become a striker that is difficult to predict. The Polish striker will bring goals, experience, and attacking solutions to Barca.", the Barca homepage commented.
Lewandowski is Barca's sixth signing this season, following Pablo Torre, Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Ousmane Dembele, and Raphinha. The Camp Nou club is also working hard to bring in Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea.
