RSS (short for Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based document format standard designed to help users easily update and retrieve information quickly and conveniently by summarizing information into a concise, standardized data block.

What is an RSS reader program?

RSS Reader is software that automatically retrieves news articles structured in RSS format.

Some RSS reader software allows you to schedule news updates. With an RSS reader, you can click on the title of a news item to read a summary or open the full content of the news item in a default browser window.

There are many software programs available for extracting news via RSS feeds; you can refer to the table of RSS readers on the side and choose the one you like best.
