On June 6th, the Police Department of District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, announced the arrest and detention of Chu Dang Thanh (singer Chu Bin, born in 1985, residing in Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak) along with several others for investigation into the illegal organization and use of narcotics.

Singer Chu Bin was arrested for drug-related offenses.
On June 4th, the District 10 Police inspected a house in the area and discovered a group of people organizing and illegally using drugs, including singer Chu Bin.
Authorities took all of these individuals to the station for questioning. Further investigation led police to summon several other people involved to clarify their roles.
Chu Bin's passion for art began when he was a 12th-grade student. He was invited to sing at a tea house for a fee of 20.000 VND, and from then on, he nurtured the dream of becoming a singer.
In 2005, Chu Bin moved to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue his career, joining a theater troupe to tour throughout the Mekong Delta provinces. Later, the singer signed with a music company and briefly formed the duo Bin - Ken.
In the following years, Chu Bin also appeared in many competitions, most notably Vietnam Idol, but only made it to the top 30. The male singer released several successful products with a specific audience, including: "Let's Consider It a Dream," "Can You Pretend to Love Me?"...
