Pre-processing the ingredients

Wash the betel leaves thoroughly. Peel and crush the turmeric. Finely chop the onion, garlic, ginger, and lemongrass.

After cleaning the frog meat, place it in a large bowl and marinate it with onions, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of MSG, 1 teaspoon of chili paste, and 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce. Mix the frog meat well with the seasonings. To enhance the flavor, add chopped betel leaves to the bowl of frog meat and let it marinate for 30 minutes.

Grilled frog

If you don't chop the betel leaves and mix them into the marinated frog meat, you can adjust this preparation step by wrapping the frog meat in individual washed betel leaves and grilling them. Alternatively, you can make this dish using an air fryer instead of charcoal grilling.
