"OneWay Marathon doesn't stop at Cat Ba," Mr. Bui Minh Tuan, head of the organizing committee, shared: "The organizing committee's idea of ​​creating a race system in tourist destinations and scenic spots across the country was further strengthened after witnessing the success of the first OneWay Marathon held in Cat Ba (Hai Phong)."

Mr. Bui Minh Tuan added: "This is definitely a competition system, not just limited to Cat Ba. We will spread the philosophy of sports tourism throughout the country and select locations to host events annually. Follow OneWay to our next destinations."

OneWay Marathon is a race organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Magazine of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with the Voice of Vietnam and the Vietnam Journalists Association. According to the head of the organizing committee, Bui Minh Tuan, the core values ​​of the race are promoting health, pursuing the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.

On its launch day, the OneWay Marathon created a vibrant and exciting atmosphere in Cat Ba with the participation of thousands of athletes, along with their families and friends. This was a rare occasion for the island to attract such a large number of tourists during the winter season, which is not typically the peak tourist season for the area.

The organizers of the OneWay Marathon Cat Ba consider this launch a success, based on the criteria and goals set for the first edition of the race. The positive impact of the OneWay Marathon Cat Ba 2022 provides a basis for the organizers to confidently pursue future events in this race series.

"OneWay Marathon là giải đấu trẻ, nhưng từ khi có ý định tổ chức thì chúng tôi có định hướng phát triển cho giải ngày một lớn mạnh, vừa đóng góp vào chương trình thể thao toàn dân của Tổng cục TDTT, vừa đóng góp vào những tiêu chuẩn quốc gia tìm kiếm VĐV chuyên nghiệp. Following the Cat Ba Marathon, the OneWay Marathon will return in April 2023. The planned venue is Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The organizers hope to contribute to the development of tourism and the local economy through the participation of thousands of athletes.

Mr. Bui Minh Tuan added: "In 2023, we will organize at least 2-3 more races, still with the same format, in various localities with the goal of boosting tourism in the host areas. There will be several thousand participants over a few days, which will significantly promote local tourism. Local authorities are all welcoming the organization of these races."

The idea of ​​organizing the OneWay running event system has received support from the amateur running community as well as sports management agencies. Deputy Director General of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Le Thi Hoang Yen, expressed her desire for the event to be held regularly and annually in several locations.

"I think this race should be held annually, attracting people to participate every year to encourage sports training, improve health, and stimulate tourism for the local area." Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen shared.

According to the organizers' vision, subsequent OneWay Marathons are expected to attract up to 8.000 or 10.000 participants. In Cat Ba, the initial target was 3.000 athletes, but the actual number of registrations was much higher.
