Umbrella iPhone 11 Although not officially launched yet, there are many rumors about the 2020 iPhone. Analyst Ming-chi Kuo (a technology expert specializing in Apple product information) has just predicted that all three of Apple's phone models next year will support 5G technology.
Previously, Ming-chi Kuo predicted that only two out of three iPhone models launching next year would have 5G. However, after Apple acquired Intel's phone modem division, he now believes that all three of Apple's models next year will be equipped with 5G to compete with other products. Kuo expects all three 2020 iPhone models to support mmWave and Sub-6GHz frequencies to meet US market demands. It's unclear whether Apple will release a 5G iPhone model that only supports Sub-6GHz at a lower price. However, Kuo believes Apple is not currently in a position to develop such a project.

In reality, there are two different types of 5G. mmWave technology is 5G Ultra-fast, deployed in urban areas. Suburban and rural areas will be equipped with Sub-6GHz – a medium- and low-frequency 5G technology that is still faster than 4G. Although not as fast as mmWave, Sub-6GHz signals can penetrate barriers such as walls and glass that block short-range mmWave signals.
Apple still plans to use Qualcomm modems for its 2020 5G iPhone lineup despite having acquired this division from Intel.
According to MacRumors, Apple Apple is currently developing its own technology but it won't be available next year. Besides 5G, the 2020 iPhone will come in new sizes. Kuo thinks Apple will release two high-end models, 5,4-inch and 6,7-inch, along with a mid-range 6,1-inch model. All three will feature OLED displays.
