Every child's brain contains a center that controls their focus and diligence; however, parental guidance and teaching play a crucial role in shaping both good and bad habits in children.
Whether a child is proactive in their learning and finds joy and interest in learning depends greatly on the education and guidance provided by their parents.

Teach your child to learn while playing.
+ Create flexible methods and beneficial games, primarily based on the principle of "learning through play, playing through learning," to attract children's active and enthusiastic participation, helping them proactively acquire knowledge in all aspects of life;
+ Explore new things with your child every day to create excitement and joy for them;
+ You shouldn't put pressure on your child to sit down and study at all costs, because then they won't be able to absorb knowledge and will even dislike studying more;
+ Set appropriate learning goals for your child regarding grades and achievements, but don't put too much pressure on them, and encourage them when they achieve their goals.
Create a relaxed atmosphere when teaching your child.
– When helping children with their studies and homework:
Parents should maintain a gentle and calm attitude, making children feel like they are treated equally and that their parents are like close friends.
Regularly encourage children to express their personal opinions, proactively explore and think for themselves, so that their cognitive abilities can be developed to a high level.
Create a suitable learning environment for your child.
+ Create a quiet and airy learning environment for your child:
Maintain order and avoid allowing too many people into the area where children are learning;
+ In a child's study area, besides books and school supplies, avoid having too many toys and storybooks that might distract the child from studying and make them want to play instead.
+ A child's study area should be away from noise and not have a view of places with a lot of activity, such as streets or playgrounds;
Absolutely do not allow children to watch TV or listen to music while studying, as they will not be able to concentrate.
Create a reasonable study schedule.
+ Require children to focus on studying at a set time to help them develop good habits and a healthy circadian rhythm.
You can have your child study from 7-9 pm or during other times when they can concentrate well and family activities don't interfere with their studies;
+ Require children to finish their homework each day before going to bed so that they take responsibility for their own learning;
+ If the amount of homework is too much, you should break it down into smaller parts and ask your child to complete each part within the time you set;
– Typically, it takes about 15 minutes after sitting at the study desk for a child to begin concentrating intensely and steadily, which is why:
Parents should guide children to choose easy exercises to do first, and difficult ones later;
+ Children should be instructed to take a short break after finishing a subject or a part of the homework before continuing to study effectively;
Absolutely do not scold, beat, or put pressure on children, as this will make them afraid of learning and gradually unable to absorb knowledge.
How to cultivate self-learning habits in children.
Entering school age means children begin to familiarize themselves with an environment outside of the family. They have many new things to learn, and developing self-learning habits is essential for best absorbing the knowledge that this new environment offers.

1. Let children create their own schedules.
Parents often try to force their children into a certain framework of their own making; however, is this solution feasible? Conversely, because they are too restricted, many children become tired, irritable, and at some point, they will try to escape that constraint in one way or another.
So why not let children create their own schedules? For first-grade children, they can already create their own schedules, which will help them be more proactive in managing their time. Parents should only offer advice to help make the schedule more reasonable.
2. Adjust homework assignments according to the child's abilities.
To help children learn effectively on their own, parents need to understand whether their child's actual abilities have met the required knowledge standards. If they have excelled, additional homework or more advanced exercises may be needed.
If your child hasn't reached the required standard, don't push them too hard or assign too much homework. Instead, focus on the most basic concepts to help them grasp the material.
3. Don't refuse or get annoyed with your child's questions.
Preschool and elementary school children are often very active and constantly ask questions like "why" and "how." Many parents, due to busy work schedules, become annoyed and scold their children when faced with a barrage of questions. This can easily lead to children becoming afraid to ask questions, and they may not dare to ask their teachers about things they don't understand when they go to school.
Parents should answer all of their children's questions anytime, anywhere, and should not answer "I don't know" to them. When they can't find the answer themselves, parents can tell their children to find it together.
4. Enhance the ability to independently research and learn.
To instill a spirit of self-directed learning in children, parents first need to explain what self-learning means. It's about actively seeking out information, applying what they've learned to real life, and learning from others to discover their own insights.
For a single assignment, parents can ask their children to solve it in multiple ways. With many questions, parents should also ask their children to answer first to check if their perspective aligns with reality, before explaining it to them from various aspects of life.
5. Involve children in activities. xã hội
Parents should encourage children to participate in outdoor activities with family or friends so that they can relax while learning new things outside of textbooks.
Parents should also encourage children to plant trees and participate in extracurricular activities to enhance their social communication skills and teamwork skills.
