Google is adding new features to iOS and Android devices, and both handsets will receive a new logo update. The new Google Maps interface is now divided into five tabs: Explore, Travel, Saved, Contributes, and Updates.

Google Maps has updated a series of new features to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
The Explore tab is where you'll find nearby places to eat lunch, watch a movie, or see a show. The tab contains information, ratings, and reviews for over 200 million places worldwide.
The Travel tab will help you use the most efficient route, whether you're traveling by car or public transport. Users can set up a daily route to receive real-time traffic updates, travel times, and alternative route suggestions.
The new Saved tab is where you can save places you've been to or places you want to go to.
Google says that to date, more than 6,5 billion locations have been saved on Google Maps. There's also a Contributions tab, where you can share local knowledge about places. This includes updating roads and addresses, adding missing locations, posting reviews, or uploading photos.
Finally, the Updates tab provides you with a feed of trending locations, including information from Google's local experts and publishers.
You can also chat directly with businesses to ask them about locations, hours, or services. New features revealed for Google Maps have updated public transport maps.

Now, you can even check the temperature of a bus or train based on driver reviews. You can also view security information on public transport if there are surveillance cameras.
Google also introduced a new feature called Live View. It's designed to help you decide which way to go when you start navigating. This feature works by scanning your camera's view and then showing you the correct direction on your screen.
