Apple has just added the iPhone 6 to its list of "vintage devices." According to Apple's definition, a product is considered vintage if it has not been distributed for more than 5 years but less than 7 years. However, the company still provides parts and repairs for vintage devices within this timeframe.
Previously, the iPhone 6 Plus was added to the list of vintage items in February. According to 9to5MacThe reason the iPhone 6 appeared on the list later is because Apple continued to sell this model in some countries after discontinuing the iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were both introduced in September 2014, marking the first time Apple launched an iPhone line with two different screen sizes. Both devices use the A8 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and an 8 MP rear camera.
The iPhone 6 features a 4,7-inch screen, while the iPhone 6 Plus uses a 5,5-inch screen and has an optical image stabilization camera on the rear.
These were the first iPhones to support NFC for Apple Pay. With many valuable upgrades, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are among the best-selling mobile phones of all time.
In 2019, Apple stopped providing software updates for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus when iOS 13 required the iPhone 6s or later. However, Apple continued to release security patches for devices running iOS 12, not only the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but also the iPhone 5s and the first-generation iPad Air.
In late July, Apple added several devices to its list of discontinued items, including the 2016 MacBook Pro, the 9,7-inch iPad Pro, the 2015 iMac, and the 2016 12-inch MacBook.
If the period of discontinued distribution exceeds 7 years, these devices will be moved to the "obsolete" list, no longer receiving any form of support from the manufacturer, including hardware repairs and software updates.
