SCB has a new chairman.

Specifically, the position of chairman and legal representative of SCB will be taken over by Mr. Vu Anh Duc from Mr. Bui Anh Dung. Mr. Vu Anh Duc (born in 1977) is the director of VietinBank's Branch 11 in Ho Chi Minh City and holds a master's degree in development economics.

The new leader of SCB has previously held various positions at VietinBank, including Deputy Head of Investment Department, Head of Capital Markets Department (Capital and Market Business Division), concurrently a member of the Board of Directors of VietinBank Securities Company, and Director of VietinBank Quang Trung Branch...

The State Bank of Vietnam also appointed four other individuals from state-owned banks (Vietcombank, VietinBank, Agribank, BIDV) to participate in the management of SCB, including Mr. Pham Quang Tien, Mr. Vo Van Buu, Mr. Trang Nhan Hau, and Mr. Ly Thanh Phuong.

Previously, the State Bank of Vietnam issued a decision to place SCB under special supervision in order to stabilize the bank's operations.

In addition to the appointment, the State Bank of Vietnam stated that it will coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to implement a comprehensive set of necessary solutions to ensure SCB operates safely and soundly.
