An additional 6 cases of COVID-19 have been reported.

On the afternoon of April 26, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam recorded 6 new COVID-19 cases who were immediately isolated upon entry into the country.

Patient Patients 2847 and 2848 arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport from South Korea on flight OZ735 and were immediately quarantined in Ho Chi Minh City. Their second test results were positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patients are currently isolated and receiving treatment at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.

Patient 2849 Patient BN2849, a 28-year-old female, is a Vietnamese citizen residing in My Hao district, Hung Yen province. On April 12th, the patient entered Vietnam from Russia via Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN5062 and was immediately quarantined in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

The test results on April 25th showed the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the Long Dien District Health Center.

Patient 2850 Patient BN2850, a 26-year-old female, is a specialist and a British national. On April 24th, the patient arrived at Noi Bai Airport from the UK via Qatar on flight QR976 and was immediately quarantined upon arrival in Hanoi.

The test results on April 25th showed the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.

Patient 2851 Patient BN2851, a 6-year-old male, is the son of an expert and holds Iranian citizenship. On April 24th, the patient transited through Qatar from Iran and entered Noi Bai Airport on flight QR976. He was immediately quarantined upon arrival in Hanoi.

The test results on April 25th showed the patient was positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.

Patient 2852 Patient BN2852, a 23-year-old female, is a Vietnamese citizen residing in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province. On April 24th, the patient entered Vietnam from the UAE via Noi Bai Airport on flight EK394 and was immediately quarantined in Hanoi.

The test results on April 25th showed the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.

According to a report by the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Vietnam has currently cured 2.516 patients.

Among the patients currently under treatment in our country, 13 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 in their first test. Additionally, 15 have tested negative in their second test, and 20 patients have tested negative in their third test. The number of deaths from COVID-19 in our country to date is 35, including 31 in Da Nang, 3 in Quang Nam, and 1 in Quang Tri.

According to the Ministry of Health, on April 25th, Vietnam vaccinated an additional 10.660 people against COVID-19. Thus, the total number of people vaccinated in Vietnam currently stands at 209.632, including healthcare workers directly treating COVID-19 patients, healthcare workers performing tasks such as sample collection, testing, and contact tracing, members of community COVID-19 teams, and the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
