The Bac Giang-Lang Son expressway BOT project is facing many difficulties regarding its financial plan because the competent state agency, the People's Committee of Lang Son province, has not fulfilled its commitments.
After more than a month of free operation, from February 18th, the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway will begin collecting tolls from vehicles at a minimum price of 135.000 VND and a maximum price of 520.000 VND.
The addition of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang expressway has pushed the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway construction project, combined with the upgrading of National Highway 1, to nearly 21.000 billion VND.
The Bac Giang - Lang Son BOT project, comprising a highway construction component and a component for upgrading the surface of National Highway 1, was officially launched in July 2015. However, after more than two years of implementation, it has fallen into a deadlock and is behind schedule.
