Today, January 7, 2019, marks the 40th anniversary of the fall of the brutal Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, and also the 40th anniversary of the victorious war to defend the southwestern border.

The march covered over 5.000 km over four years; never before had Vietnamese soldiers marched so far outside their homeland.
