According to a quick report from the General Department of Taxation on the budget revenue situation for the first 11 months of 2018, as of November 30th, the entire tax sector achieved 997.397 billion VND, equivalent to 93,2% of the projected target, an increase of 14,5% compared to the same period in 2017; overall, the total budget revenue for the first 11 months was quite good compared to recent years.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the amount of outstanding tax debt as of May 31st was over 75.500 billion VND, an increase of nearly 1.400 billion VND (1,9%) compared to December 31st, 2016; of which, tax debt owed by taxpayers who have died, gone missing, lost their legal capacity, are involved in criminal liability, have dissolved themselves, gone bankrupt, ceased operations, or abandoned their business addresses (unrecoverable) amounted to over 27.300 billion VND.
