Apple calls the new purple color of the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max Deep Purple, leaning towards a darker and deeper tone. Unlike the purple shade previously seen on the iPhone XR, the new color of the iPhone 14 Pro has a matte finish and looks more luxurious.

As in previous years, Apple has equipped its regular iPhone line with more vibrant and striking colors. However, the purple color on the iPhone 14 has been treated by the manufacturer to be lighter and more muted. (Image: The Verge)

The biggest change in the iPhone 14 compared to its predecessor lies in the camera system. While still maintaining two lenses, the sensor configuration has been upgraded. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max feature cameras with larger apertures and pixel sizes. This upgrade allows the product to capture more light when taking photos in challenging conditions. Meanwhile, the front of the device is rather bland. Apple continues to use the signature notch design on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This screen shape has been around since 2017, on the iPhone X.

Meanwhile, the two iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max models received a major upgrade on the front. They feature FaceID integrated into a "pill-shaped" notch, taking up less screen space. (Image: Engadget)

Beneath the black surface, Apple has placed the front camera along with other FaceID components such as the infrared illuminator and 3D scanner. Therefore, the "pill-shaped" notch on the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max screen is significantly longer and larger than the punch-hole designs found on Android phones. (Image: The Verge)

Apple utilizes the space surrounding the notch on the screen for a feature called Dynamic Island. Notifications and app controls will appear here, and users can interact with them directly. (Image: Apple)

The Verge praised Apple's handling of the inescapable notch. "Changing the shape is an interesting way to take advantage of the cutout. If you can't remove it, find a way to exploit it," The Verge commented. (Image: The Verge)

The Pro/Pro Max models also feature Always On Display, a feature not found on the regular versions. Apple reduces the brightness of the lock screen and highlights widgets added in iOS 16. Additionally, when the wallpaper contains a person, that area is also selected for better visibility. (Image: The Verge)

The iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max features a new camera system. The main lens has a 48MP resolution and supports pixel binning and digital zoom technologies. This is why the camera on this model is larger and more protruding than its predecessor. (Image: The Verge)

With the new camera, the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max can shoot cinematic video in 4K resolution, supporting super image stabilization... The Pro RAW function has also been upgraded to take advantage of the large amount of data recorded from the phone's 48 MP image sensor. (Image: Apple)

The iPhone 14 series starts at $799. The iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max models are priced at $999 and $1.099 respectively. In Vietnam, retailers are quoting prices for Apple's new phones ranging from 23 to 50 million VND depending on the version. (Image: Apple)
