Audi recently brought the new generation of its strategic SUV duo, the Q3 and Q5, to Vietnam, marking a significant upgrade in both the compact and mid-size luxury SUV segments. Both models share a strong emphasis on digitalization, the addition of numerous driver assistance technologies, and optimized interior space.
While the Audi Q3 targets urban customers needing a compact yet technologically advanced SUV, the Q5 focuses on a more premium experience with its new platform, quattro all-wheel drive, and expanded digital space.

The new generation Audi Q3 enters its third generation with two variants available in Vietnam. The Q3 SUV TFSI Advanced aims for a balance between versatility, flexible space, and urban SUV style.
Meanwhile, the Q3 Sportback TFSI S line features a sloping roofline, the S line exterior package, and a sportier design.
Both versions feature 19-inch wheels, LED Plus headlights, LED Pro taillights, daytime running lights with three customizable modes, and an illuminated Audi four-ring logo at the rear.

Inside, the new Q3 makes a strong shift towards a digital cockpit design. The curved Audi Panoramic display cluster is angled 10 degrees toward the driver and includes an 11,9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel and a 12,8-inch MMI central touchscreen.
The car supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, three-zone automatic climate control, a 15W wireless charger with phone cooling function, and a 10-speaker, 260W Audi Sound System.

One notable change is that the paddle shifter has been moved to the steering wheel column, instead of being located on the center console as before. This arrangement creates more space between the two front seats, providing additional room for storage compartments, cup holders, and wireless charging.
In terms of safety and driver assistance, the new Q3 is equipped with adaptive cruise control, front emergency braking assist, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, safe door opening warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and Park Assist Plus with a rearview camera. The car also features Progressive Steering and Comfort suspension.
Both versions of the Q3 use a 1.395 cc turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9,1 seconds. The Q3 SUV reaches a top speed of 209 km/h and has a fuel consumption of 7,64 liters/100 km; the Q3 Sportback reaches 207 km/h and has a fuel consumption of 6,7 liters/100 km.
Audi Q5: New platform, three-screen cockpit.
While the Q3 focuses on urban agility, the new generation Audi Q5 is positioned higher, emphasizing driving experience and technology.
This is Audi's first SUV developed on the Premium Platform Combustion, a new architecture for vehicles with internal combustion engines.

In Vietnam, the Q5 is available in two options: the Q5 SUV TFSI quattro S line and the Q5 Sportback TFSI quattro S line.
Both models feature the S line design, 20-inch Audi Sport wheels, LED Plus Matrix headlights, and LED Pro taillights. Users can customize eight digital lighting effects, creating a unique and distinctive look for each vehicle.
The Q5 SUV retains the balanced, robust, and versatile look of a mid-size SUV, with a seat height of 1.647 mm and a cargo capacity of 520-1.473 liters.
The lower-sloping Q5 Sportback, at 1.642 mm, features a steeply sloping roofline and a luggage compartment capacity of 515-1.415 liters, targeting customers who appreciate sporty styling but still need practicality.
The interior is the biggest highlight of the new Q5. Audi calls this space the Audi Digital Stage, featuring a cluster of curved OLED screens including an 11,9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit and a 14,5-inch MMI central display.
Additionally, the car features a separate 10,9-inch MMI screen for the front passenger, allowing access to entertainment, navigation, and several independent features without affecting the driver.
The Q5 is equipped with a head-up display (HUD), a 16-speaker, 685W Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium sound system, Ambient Lighting Package Pro with 30 colors, Dynamic Interaction Light, three-zone automatic climate control, 15W wireless charging, and high-power USB-C ports, including two 100W ports in the rear seats.
The rear seats in the Q5 can slide forward/backward, recline, and fold in a 40:20:40 ratio. This arrangement makes the car more versatile when prioritizing space for passengers or luggage.

The Q5 uses a 1.984 cc turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 196 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology.
This drivetrain can distribute traction between the wheels according to driving conditions, and disconnect the rear axle when the vehicle is moving steadily to optimize fuel consumption.
Both the Q5 SUV and Q5 Sportback accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,2 seconds, have a top speed of 226 km/h, and a combined fuel consumption of 7,9 liters/100 km.
