The localities that recorded the largest decrease in infections compared to the previous day were: Hai Phong (down 21), Nghe An (down 18), and Yen Bai (down 17).
The localities recording the highest increase in infections compared to the previous day are: Hoa Binh (up 6), Thanh Hoa (up 3), and Thua Thien Hue (up 3).
On average, the number of new domestic infections recorded over the past 7 days has been 724 cases per day.
According to the Ministry of Health, on June 19th, an additional 4.255 COVID-19 patients were declared recovered in Vietnam, bringing the total number of recovered cases to date to 9.601.630.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded 10.737.640 cases, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories.
During the fourth wave of the pandemic (from April 27, 2021 to the present), the number of confirmed cases in the country is 10.729.874, of which 9.598.813 patients have been declared recovered.
Localities recording high cumulative infection numbers during this outbreak include: Hanoi (1.603.941), Ho Chi Minh City (609.838), Nghe An (485.295), Bac Giang (387.682), and Binh Duong (383.794).
