Attending the event on the morning of June 22nd were Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Hoang Nguyen Dinh, along with representatives from various departments, agencies, local authorities, and leaders of relevant units.
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh, and other delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dragon E-Home project.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the context of Ho Chi Minh City's accelerated development of social housing and rental housing in accordance with the central and government's guidelines, aiming to address the social security needs of low-income earners and policy beneficiaries. The city aims to develop an additional 181.257 social housing units, including approximately 50.000 rental housing units, during the period 2026-2030.
Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, acknowledged the contributions of businesses in expanding housing opportunities for the city's residents.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh – Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City – emphasized that social housing not only has social welfare significance but also contributes to stabilizing human resources and promoting sustainable development of the city.
He also acknowledged Phu Long as one of the outstanding enterprises involved in developing social housing with a focus on planning, construction quality, and living environment for residents.

Also at the event, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh assessed the groundbreaking ceremony for Dragon E-Home as an important event, demonstrating Ho Chi Minh City's interest in developing social housing, contributing to the achievement of the city's social welfare and housing development goals in the future.
The Deputy Minister also acknowledged Phu Long as a capable, reputable, and experienced enterprise in the field of urban development, and highly appreciated the scale, design, living space, and green development orientation of the Dragon E-Home project, expecting the project to bring more opportunities for quality housing for people.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Anh Tu – General Director of Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company – presented a scholarship worth 500 million VND to the representative of Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Representing the project developer, Mr. Nguyen Vu Anh Tu – General Director of Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company – stated that Dragon E-Home is a practical response to the government and Ho Chi Minh City's policy of developing social housing, contributing to the realization of social welfare policies with quality housing products that meet real housing needs.
He affirmed that Dragon E-Home was developed with the aim of providing people with a high-quality living environment and an experience close to that of commercial housing.

On behalf of Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang – Chairman of the Board of Directors – affirmed that Phu Long will focus its resources on implementing the Dragon E-Home project on schedule, ensuring construction quality, safety, and fulfilling its commitment to providing a high-quality living environment for residents.
Dragon E-Home is planned as a new generation of social housing, focusing on quality of life with a comprehensive range of amenities and expansive green spaces.
Located in Long Truong ward, Dragon E-Home is one of the prominent large-scale new-generation social housing projects in the eastern part of Ho Chi Minh City.
Built on nearly 19.000 m² of land with a construction density of only 40%, the project comprises 6 eight-story towers, offering 764 diverse apartment types including Studio, 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom + 1, 2-bedroom, and 2-bedroom + 1 units ranging in size from 25 m² to 69 m², along with 34 commercial units for rent.
Planned by Surbana Jurong (Singapore), Dragon E-Home aims to be a new generation social housing model with optimized functionality, green living spaces, and diverse amenities such as a riverside park, swimming pool, children's playground, and commercial and service area.
The project also benefits from the complete ecosystem of amenities in the Dragon Village urban area, including green parks, tropical gardens, landscaped lakes, outdoor sports fields, etc., and offers convenient access to schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and essential services within a radius of approximately 3 km.
The project dedicates over 60% of its area to greenery, water features, amenities, and open spaces.
In terms of connectivity, with its strategic location at the heart of the East Saigon area, the project is directly linked to major arteries such as the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway; connecting roads to Ring Road 3, Lien Phuong, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Vo Chi Cong, Song Hành, or the Cat Lai - Phu Huu inter-port road expected to start construction in Q4/2026; and Metro Line 5 (Thu Thiem – Long Thanh).
In particular, residents can access the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (Samsung, Intel, Nidec, Vietjet Aviation Academy, Galaxy Innovation Hub...), educational centers, research centers, and job opportunities within a 10-15 minute commute.
Developed with a focus on next-generation social housing, Dragon E-Home is expected to set new standards for social housing and expand access to quality living environments for people in Ho Chi Minh City's next phase of development.
